Naomi Simson colleagues

We have just completed our planning cycle. And I am completely excited by the plans that the leadership team has created under the stewardship of CEO Kristie. Whilst I am clearly not going to reveal the content here… it gave me cause to reflect about dreaming big – and playing full out.

RedBalloon is all about ‘Good – Times’ and the speed at which we play a bigger and bigger game is inspiring. – Thanks Team

“If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost,
For out in the world we find
Success being with a fellow’s will;
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you’re outclassed, you are:
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.”

  1. Hello Naomi, have just started to read your blog and am going to start my own in a couple of weeks after my website is redesigned – which now is a bit tired and really needs an update. The poem in your blog is one I have used a million times in many of my retreats and workshops – and although written some time ago is so very true and real to the minute. It is a tremendous motivational piece. A little bit about me – I am a trainer and coach – both life/personal and corporate. My workshops are for professional skills development as well as self-development. I live in Chiang Mai Thailand, have done so for the past 30 years(how did that happen!)but travel the SEA region – and the world if possible and if they need me – to motivate and help develop “people” – the most important resource on the planet – simply have a better life! When I got your blog this morning I felt quite uplifted and happy that you know about it and use it – wonderful stuff! Thanks for sharing your positive moments, we all need that – and I do hope we can stay in touch from time to time. And I do like this quote which I will leave you with(think it’s anonymous)- “If you always do what you’ve always done, then you’ll always have what you’ve already got” – really quite a punch in there don’t you think!Cheers…

  2. Best of luck for your new planning and hope that brings you more smiles!!

  3. Big dreams – if you think you can you can. I love this expression. We all need to dream big to make it happen! Thanks for your post.
