About Me

Naomi Simson businessperson, blogger, entrepreneur

Naomi Simson past & present

I started my entrepreneurial journey with RedBalloon in 2001 from my front room with just $25,000 and a second-hand computer.

Now, RedBalloon is considered one of Australia’s online business success stories. It has proudly delivered 4 million experiences and continues to connect customers with almost 4000 unique experiences sourced from over 2000 business partners across Australia and New Zealand.

In 2017 I co-founded, alongside David Anderson, the Big Red Group — a parent company for RedBalloon Australia, RedBalloon New Zealand, Marketics (Albert AI), Redii.com, Wrapped, and The Huddle.

Last century I worked for big brands, IBM, Apple, KPMG and Ansett Airlines – all of which influenced who I am today.

I have many labels: speaker, author, blogger, entrepreneur, innovator, and influencer, to name a few.

With more than 2 million LinkedIn followers, I believe my gift is the ability to share my insights, experience and observations about business, innovation and success.

I’m passionate about great workplaces which is why I founded Redii.com, a leadership tool that drives the alignment of teams through recognition and reward.

As a judge on Channel TEN’s Shark Tank, I am a keen investor and supporter of the start up community. I am also the author of the best sellers ‘Live What You Love’, and ‘Ready to Soar’.

I am a Governor of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, and a director of the University of Melbourne Faculty of Business and Economics.
