Of the 100,000 customers in the first five years….I get to hear relatively few stories about their RedBalloon Day. ‘From booking our yacht B&B experience to actually ‘living’ it, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better and more indulgent way of proposing to my girlfriend Vanessa. Aided by perfect weather and an extremely helpful and friendly crew we spent an afternoon sailing the Sydney Harbour, only to return back to base to upgrade to a larger, more luxurious yacht for our B&B overnight stay. Pampered by a masseuse for an hour, we were then left alone to enjoy a remarkable seafood banquet. Later in the evening, whilst sipping champagne and watching the sun set over the city skyline, I knew I couldn’t have found a more romantic setting and I found the right words to propose. I am happy to say that a tearful and happy YES was returned. We awoke in the morning to tranquil, calm waters and watched for an hour the world wake up around us. Eventually the skipper returned to lead us back to shore and a delicious breakfast at a cafe in Darling Harbour. It was a weekend I will never forget and one Vanessa and I will tell our children!
