I was asked to define success…This is what I came up with. How do you define success?
- There are many things that make a successful business, and they don’t differ that much to those which make a successful life. Businesses are just made up of a bunch of people, all come together for a shared purpose, to make a difference to the world. In business, it is not about what you know, or even who you know, success comes from who you are. The underlying connectedness that is created between people when they have a shared vision and shared values means that success comes from the harmony that is created. I measure success by how much fun can be had in a day, how many times I laughed out loud, and how many times a hug was shared.

What a beautiful way to look at business life… an inspirational comment and one that has been printed and now sits on our office wall. I even went and hugged everyone near me, which of course then sparked outrages laughter amongst the team. BRILLIANT!
