I found this in the front of an old diary… after reading Jim Collins Good to Great it is quite fitting.

‘Forget about your likes and dislikes – do what must be done and from that greatness will come.’
Anon.

When I was growing up by Father said to me (regularly) ‘You will be judged in life not by the jobs you like doing but how you do the one’s you don’t like doing.’

Both of these resonate with me. When I get stopped on something and I don’t want to do it – I look at why I’m stopped – then I just get into gear.

Thanks Dad…I always do the stuff I don’t like doing first but at least it is over and done with so I can really enjoy the good stuff.
